About Trophy Lodge
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police established a detachment at Fort Reliance in 1927 to monitor barren land trapping. In 1965 the post was closed, fewer trappers and bush planes made it unnecessary. The property was purchased by the Finlayson family who have added to it but retained the charm of a rugged outpost in the remote reaches of Northern Canada.
